19.03.2025 – As a result of intensive DDoS attacks, various IT services of the Federal Administration have been temporarily affected since around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
DDoS attacks are denial-of-service attacks that target the availability of online services. No data is transferred during a DDoS attack.
The attacks continue. Due to the countermeasures taken in response to the constantly changing attack scenarios, the situation has been stabilized.
Note:
With such attacks on the availability of websites and services, the perpetrators usually want to attract media attention in order to spread their ideology. The NCSC asks journalists to bear this in mind when writing their articles, so that the attackers receive as little attention as possible.
