18.11.2021 - The expansion and promotion of cyberskills is a key goal of the national strategy for the protection of Switzerland against cyber-risks (NCS). As part of the NCS implementation, the Swiss Security Network (SSN), together with armasuisse's Cyber-Defence Campus and the Military Academy (MILAC) at ETH Zurich, has drawn up a list of the best training courses on cyber-issues. Published today, it shows that there is already a wide range of courses available on the subject.
As digitalisation progresses, the focus on cyber-risks and their rapid growth is intensifying. Yet, it can be ensured that cyber-risks are properly handled only if industry has sufficient know-how and specialist staff. The training of specialists is thus a key element in strengthening cybersecurity. Although Switzerland has a robust network of training and research institutions, there was no overview of existing training courses relating to cyber-issues until now.
In collaboration with armasuisse's Cyber-Defence Campus and the MILAC, the Swiss Security Network (SSN) has drawn up a list of available training courses on cyber-issues. The list was published today on the website of the National Cybersecurity Centre (NCSC) as part of the implementation of the 2018 to 2022 national strategy for the protection of Switzerland against cyber-risks (NCS). The preparation of the list and consultations with industry, higher education institutions, the Confederation and the cantons have revealed that there is already a very wide range of training courses on offer and that the higher education institutions have recognised the importance of cybersecurity.
The list of available training courses on cyber-issues is not exhaustive and should be continually updated. In order to ensure this, the NCSC requests that suggestions and additions be sent to:
